My Latest Book
I love to read, and I miss reading. As a mother of two littles I just don't have the time to sit down with a good book. On a good day I get fifteen minutes of reading time, but that's ok, it's just the season I'm in right now. I do make the effort though, because I want to be sharp, I want to learn, and I want to READ.
Right now I'm reading Passionate Housewives Desperate For God and loving every second of it.
I usually read a chapter before my afternoon nap (it helps me turn off my busy brain) and maybe a few pages before sleeping at night. By nightime though, my brain is dead tired and usually all I see are squiggles.
What are you reading? And when do you read?
Paint...in a different way.
Twisty Bread
2 tsp. dry yeast
1 tsp. sugar
1 cup of warm water
3 cups of flour
1/2 tsp. of salt
2 Tbsp. oil
Place all ingredients in bread machine. Run the dough cycle. When dough cycle is finished, have your child roll the dough out into a large circle with rolling pin. Slice dough into long thin pieces. Twirl the dough, place on cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mixture.
These are good.
Too good in fact.
So good I may be as large as Texas when I finish eating them all.
If you don't have a bread machine, don't worry. Use Kelli's recipe. Aren't her pictures beautiful?
And don't they make you hungry?
(Also, letting a toddler watch the bread machine do it's magic may give you enough time to do wash the measuring cups. Score!)

Make People
One activity, which will be done again, was to cut out different people from magazines. Then I chopped off their heads.
(Trust me, I'm a nice person.)
I gave The Fripits the bodies and heads, which she could match together. She had a lot of fun doing this and seemed to grasp the concept that people need heads. This came as a huge relief to me.
My favorite creation of hers was Abe Lincoln doing yoga.
This project kept my three year old entertained for 7 minutes. Which means I got to have a glass of water and gulp down some vitamins.
How cool is that?
