1 cup of melted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped walnuts or almonds (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour melted butter over brown sugar, and sugar. Add 2 eggs, vanilla and mix well.
Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in oats, raisins, and nuts (if using).
Drop onto greased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
Hide cookies from husband before he eats 8 at one time.
