Moo.

My neighbor sent over cow stomach in soup form for me to eat.

I learned that I don't like the way Cow Stomach Soup smells.

I also learned that it's nearly impossible to make Cow Stomach Soup look appetizing.

What have you learned recently, in regards to food?

I've eaten that several times when in Mexico. My mother in law makes it somewhat tasty, it was just hard getting over the looks and idea of it!

You are getting so good at your photography! Did you take the photo of the sweet cow? I love cow faces, their sweet gentle eyes especially.

Mondongo in Mexico, and they make it all the Mexican deli's in California, but I won't touch the stuff!

Off topic! But mom and I were wondering if you received or were able to use any of the nice clothes that our cousin Tara sent down by your mom. Tara is wondering if she should continue saving the good clothes that her 2 girls are continuously growing out of. She asked mom and didn't know what to tell her. Tara and her mother in law both only by "good" stuff!

Yeah...I learned that cow stomach soup (or tripe as they call it in Mexico) STINKS...blech. I used to have to serve it at the restaurant when I was pregnant....that was BAD I had to turn away whe I carried it out to the people. I have never tasted it. refused to.
This past Sunday when we went to my in-laws house they had blood sausage (and thankfull lentils as an alternative. I learned that blood sausage smells and looks worse than Cow Stomach Soup. No Joke. I also learned that when Gilbert burped it up in the car on the way home the smell was even worse.

The only food you can look at and actually watch your stomach turn as you stir it!!
I would rather eat live worms! For real!

Yeah, I'm not keen on mondongo either. But if your friend made it for you... refusing isn't an option!

I made soup with tripe a few months ago. I like the pieces chopped up smaller.

I you aren't kidding about the smell.
